INSTRUCTIONS for CRICA-LOT "Skin" Use and Trachea Replacement

1. Insert pre-cut non-woven 4x 4" cotton pads (or cut cotton padding) into the "skin" pouch.
2. Use additional sheets of padding to simulate obesity.
3. Insert 10-20 cc of fake blood into pouch, if desired.
4. Carefully peel back layer of "skin" pouch and affix upper edge (marked TOP) to hyoid; smoothly press remainder of pouch onto larynx and trachea. Adjust the sides of the "skin" so the larynx remains mobile.
5. Use model to practice procedure (steps shown below).
6. Remove pouch carefully off of the model and repeat. Apply Goo Gone or other agent to remove any leftover adhesive. Wash off fake blood by washing with water.
7. Trachea replacement: Male and female are different sizes. Slide trachea from bottom up into the grooves on the model. The small bump at the lower trachea goes in last.
8. Lubricate the back screws and base of larynx if needed.
